Tips for New Canadians: Welcome to Canada!

Canada was my dream country. I always wanted to come to Canada and when the opportunity stroked, I just grabbed it. Little did I know that this wonderful land of dreams has stored for me. I still remember that feeling when I left New Delhi and board the Air India plane, I was so nervous. I was full of dreams and aspirations. I was full of hope to make my life worth living.

When I first landed, people were amazing. Everybody was welcoming. It was -25 degrees outside, but I was sweating as I was passing though the immigration doors. I was having mixed feeling. I was happy. I was nervous. After me and my husband were granted entry, I was excited. I was all ready to get started!

I stayed with my grandparents for a little while. Staying with them was very beneficial as I had got lots of knowledge because of them. It was easy for me and my husband to adapt because of the help of my grandparents. Things changed after few days, though. I guess they were habitual to live independent and so, we moved out.

After moving out, life took a big turn. I guess we both were safeguarded by my grandparents. Ground reality hit us when we first went to buy grocery, furniture and a mobile phone. Things were not at all same like in India. Things were way different here. I came out as a cultural shock, but we finally found our path and destiny.

This is when I started my blog shrutispointofview.blogspot.com and tried to help others like us. This book is a short pocket book but it basically contains information which I had struggled to figure out and when I finally did, I shared with all the newcomers I came to knew.

My ebook Tips for New Canadians: Welcome to Canada talks about important tips which are very helpful for new Canadian Immigrants. Buy it and read it :)

I hope this book is able to help you!

Best of luck on your new endeavors :)

I will have a 2 and half year old when i plan to enter Canada and have read that day care is quite expensive.. i am worried.. we dont have any relatives in canada and i am not sure if we will be able to fund my fee, plus living with a baby.... Can't think about leaving my baby back here too.. really torn apart
